The Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder are two of the most imaginative and innovative vessels afloat. Unlike the brass and glass interiors of their competition, these ships are reminiscent of the great ocean liners of yesteryear. Both ships offer unique venues and activities for passengers of all ages and all styles. With varied and delicious dining throughout the day and evening, and staterooms that are among the largest at sea (most with a bath and a half), Disney is sure to please adults and families alike. There are separate activity areas for adults, teens, kids and families both day and night. Disney Cruises has something wonderful on board just for everyone.
It begins the moment you step inside the cruise terminal, where friendly cast members are on hand to greet you. Once onboard, you will be serenaded with music and sunny personalities. The sailaway celebration continues to set the mood in a way only Disney can and your vacation begins even before the ship leaves port.
Imagine the world's greatest entertainment company onboard a cruise ship. The Walt Disney Theatre is like a floating Carnegie Hall, offering everything from Broadway-style productions to comedic performances to full-blown interactive game shows. Other onboard lounges and venues provide more intimate shows, concerts and non-stop fun. Each evening the Studio Sea family nightclub is bright with excitement for all ages. Try your hand at karaoke or hilarious game shows like Mickey Mania where you can test your knowledge of all things Disney. The dance floor is open, the music is in full swing and everybody's guaranteed a good time.
Want to check out the latest Disney releases or the classics you enjoyed as a child? Visit the Buena Vista Theatre - one of the few cinemas afloat. At night, adults head for Beat Street on the Disney Magic, and Route 66 on the Disney Wonder. From an intimate piano bar to a Top 40-dance club, or a pub filled with sing-along laughs, adults can enjoy grown-up-only action, leaving the the kids to enjoy the most extensive and exclusive children's program afloat on its very own deck.
There are three fabulous swimming pools on board each vessel. The largest for families, another for adults only, and the third, complete with a water slide, in the shape of Mikey Mouse for small children.
The Vista Spa is a retreat for exotic, relaxing and invigorating spa therapies selected from all over the world. There is also an extensive fitness center and beauty salon.
Unlike any other product in the cruise industry, Disney offers themed dining in three unique restaurants. Parrot Cay is a Caribbean island adventure. Fine food teams up with classic Disney animation at Animator's Palate. On the Disney Magic, Lumière's provides an elegant dining experience. On the Disney Wonder, it's under-the-sea-food at Triton's. So that you experience the best in personal service, your wait staff moves with you each evening - so although the location changes, the attention to detail remains the same. For a more upscale and intimate experience, make a reservation at Palo's for dinner one evening. Palo's is an elegant, yet relaxed setting exclusively for adults. Here you'll dine on Northern Italian cuisine. This "Wolfgang Puck-type" venue features open kitchen, espresso bar and wine cellar for a truly delightful experience.
The staterooms on each Disney vessel are among the most spacious in the large ship segment of the industry, measuring over 200 square feet. Their most unique feature is the "bathroom and a half" allowing more than one person to use the "facilities" at the same time. Considering Disney is our frontrunner for family programs, and all cabins offer quad occupancy capabilities - this design was extraodinarily well received by our incentive clients traveling with children.
Castaway Cay, Disney's private island is undoubtedly the best in the business. With separate areas for families, teens and adults, you will want to stay shipwrecked forever!
Disney's ships dock right at the island allowing you to walk directly ashore into an oasis of fun and relaxation. Every other cruise line requires you to tender to their island, which is one of the things that makes Castaway Cay so unique. Enjoy live music, a cabana massage, water sport activities, delicious barbecue specialties and Disney charm and hospitality!
The Walt Disney Company plans to expand its successful cruise business by adding two new ocean liners in 2011 and 2012. The company signed a letter of intent with Meyer Werft shipyard, based in Papenburg, Germany, to negotiate a contract. The two new 122,000-ton cruise liners will more than double the passenger capacity for Disney Cruise Line to meet the sustained demand for Disney's family cruise vacations.
