The Regent Seven Seas Voyager

What can I say about the new Regent Seven Seas Voyager? Yet another masterpiece in a line of fine cruise products. Perhaps her most innovative feature, which we first experienced on the Mariner in 2001, is her dining. All of the restaurants onboard offer elegant and mouth-watering cuisine. It almost does not matter where you dine. The experience will be second to none. I have been saying for years that Radisson has the best food afloat....and with the Voyager, that tradition continues. One significant change from the Mariner to the Voyager is the concept in Lattitudes restaurant. In this venue of 72 places, there is one seating at 7:30 pm. It is more of a culinary event than a dinner - as you get to sample so many delicious items with accompanying wines. It is perfect for a small group take-over, as you will never feel rushed to leave. And the visible demonstration /open galley kitchen adds to the unique ambiance. Think "Wolfgang Puck" at his finest. Stay as long as you wish and savour the fine gourmet specialties. The Executive Chef talks to the guests throughout their dining experience which adds a nice and personal touch . The Cordon Bleu tradition continues in Signatures Restaurant. It does not get any better than this anywhere on land or on sea. La Veranda serves buffet breakfast and lunch, while it transforms into an elegant Italian eatery when the sun goes down. And of course, dine in Compass Rose for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Open seating dining allows you to dine when and where you like. Or, dine in your suite! The possibilities are truly endless.

The Voyager has a slightly different flow and layout as compared with the Mariner. A few restaurants and lounges have changed location - making the Voyager a bit easier to navigate. But for the most part, the ships are beautiful twin sisters. I have to say that the most important difference is that the Voyager has "stolen" the bathrooms from the Navigator. On the Mariner, each passenger has a bathtub and shower combination. On the Navigator and Voyager, each suite (and they are all balconied suites) has a separate bathtub and stall shower.

The state-of-the art two-tiered Constellation Theater has a fixed capacity of 630 seats, but the ship will gladly accommodate up to 700 passengers with portable chairs. A great location for Radisson's fine entertainment, but also for an award's ceremony, cocktail function or meeting. In addition to this versatile lounge, the ship boasts two identical and adjoining card rooms, accommodating a total of 80 passengers for meetings. When you charter the vessel, feel free to use these rooms for office or storage space.

There are a multitude of night spots and bars onboard - most notibly the observation lounge, the connoisseurs (cigar) club, the voyager lounge/disco and horizons lounge. No matter where you venture off to in the evening, you will never feel crowded, as there are so many options for a ship that only carries 700 passengers.

Don't miss the fitness center and the Judith Jackson spa, or a chance to try your luck in the casino!

You will be taking no chances at all in chartering or booking a group program on the Voyager. She is truly a ship for the 21st century!
