Oceania Cruises,
the world's leading culinary- and destination-focused cruise line, introduces Allura today, naming the second 1,200-guest Allura Class ship. Debuting in 2025, Allura is the eighth vessel for the line and will be the sister ship to Vista, which sets sail in May 2023.

Named to reflect the excitement of starting an immersive new journey, Allura will entice guests to discover some of the world's most captivating locations, enjoying the freedom of exploration while sailing the open seas. Allura represents the eternal call of the mysterious and the unknown. The luxurious new vessel will bring travelers a world of enchantment where new adventures, familiar faces, off-the-beaten-path destinations and more await.

In true Oceania Cruises style, Allura will serve The Finest Cuisine at Sea, boast exceptionally personalized service with warm and welcoming staff, and feature captivating residential furnishings and decor as she sails a variety of destination-rich itineraries. Measuring approximately 67,000 tons, Allura will accommodate 1,200 guests and be staffed by 800 officers and crew, offering industry-leading space and staff-to-guest ratios.

Allura highlights include an array of inventive new dining experiences including Ember, an upscale signature restaurant serving reimagined American classics, and Aquamar Kitchen, both debuting on Vista in May, as well as the largest standard staterooms and a new Chef's Studio.

Currently under construction by renowned shipbuilder Fincantieri S.p.A. in Italy, the all-veranda vessel will sail her maiden voyage in spring 2025.

Icon of the Seas: More Space, Innovative Design for Royal Caribbean

“We’ve over-scaled the amount of lounge space for guests on the Icon of the Seas versus any other ship. That is purposeful to give more space,” said Jay Schneider, senior vice president and chief product innovation officer for Royal Caribbean international. “You’ll find more share and more deck chairs,” he added. The 250,800-ton ship will have capacity for over 5,600 guests at double occupancy, becoming the largest cruise ship in the world when it debuts in Miami in January 2024, sailing week-long cruises. Guests will first be “wowed” by a massive multi-deck pearl structure when boarding the ship, which Schneider said would provide a jaw-dropping moment.

Royal Caribbean’s neighborhood concept will also be back, with new five areas and returning favorites, plus some tweaks. The popular Central Park will be lusher, said Schneider, with 20 percent more greenery. “Guests will also be able to see the ocean for the first time,” he said. Currently, on Oasis-class ships, Central Park sits in the middle of the superstructure, without ocean views. Central Park will also feature a dedicated entertainment venue and Izumi, the company’s sushi and hibachi restaurant, will be in its biggest ever form in Izumi on the Park. Guests can dine in and there will also be a takeout window for a bento-box style experience. In addition, the cruise line has worked hard on passenger flow, Schneider said, really trying to eliminate dead ends. “There are dead ends on every cruise ship,” he continued. “We’ve tried to solve that here. The upper deck six mezzanine of the promenade is a complete 360.”

Royal Caribbean unveils design and spaces of Icon of the Seas

The 250,800-gross-ton Icon of the Seas will not only be the largest cruise ship built to date but the first in a follow-on series to Royal's groundbreaking Oasis and Quantum vessels, which have been delivered over the past 13 years.

Bristling with waterslides and equipped with a new neighborhood designed for young families, the colorful ship will offer 28 stateroom categories, ranging from inside cabins to the eight-person, three-level Ultimate Family Townhouse.

Silver Endeavor is a GORGEOUS ship!!!! I was lucky enough to sail on her when she was newly entered into the Crystal Fleet. SO happy that she has found the perfect home with Silversea!!!!

Travel Weekly: “Royal Caribbean has been given the green light by the courts the acquire the Endeavor, a 200-passenger ship last operated by Crystal Cruises before the line ceased operating earlier this year.

The ship was built to PC6 polar class specifications and can operate all of Silversea's current expedition itineraries, including in the Arctic and Antarctic.

"The expedition cruising industry is poised to resume accelerated growth driven by demand among high-end, affluent customers for travel to remote and hard-to-access destinations," said Roberto Martinoli, president and CEO of Silversea Cruises. "This ship will be the fourth vessel to join Silversea's fleet since 2020, which demonstrates our commitment to growth."

Silversea is inviting the Endeavor's former Crystal crew to rejoin the ship. The line said former Endeavor crew members will receive priority during recruitment.

The Endeavour is scheduled to begin service in winter 2022-23, spending its inaugural season in Antarctica starting this November. The Endeavour will replace the Silver Explorer in Antarctica. Bookings open immediately. “
